CHINA, TAJIKISTAN & PAKISTAN TREK

June 23 - July 8, 2018

This expedition travels overland through the mountains passes from the Silk Road bazaar town of Kashgar across the nomadic grasslands of Gorno-Badakhshon and down into the Hunza and Yasin valleys. Culturally stunning and geographically mind blowing, this trek is made for adventure seekers.

Some of the world's most dramatic mountain ranges meet in a spot sandwiched between China, Central Asia and the Indian Subcontinent. CHINA AND PAKISTAN

For the peripheral week of this trek, we cross the Khunjerab Pass from China into Pakistan's Hunza Valley. An independent princedom until the 1970s, this remote region of Pakistan is home to many ethnic groups, a large Ismaili population, and some of the world's most dramatic mountain peaks and glaciers. Here, we will hike in through jaw-dropping valleys, live with local families, and embrace this warm culture.
