Hi, I'm Ahmed Omar, born and raised on the beautiful island of Socotra, Yemen. After finishing school, I followed my passion and co-founded Socotra Ecotours in 2014 to share the wonders of ecotourism with visitors. I've worked on international projects like Socotra Governance & Biodiversity, and I'm part of a nonprofit called Socotra Friends that offers educational seminars on biodiversity. I can chat in Socotri, Arabic, English, and French, and I've had the pleasure of guiding tourists and filmmakers from all around the globe. I love my work and always bring a sense of humor to the journey!

Hello! I'm Salem, a freelance guide from the enchanting island of Socotra in the Arabian Sea. After finishing my basic education on the island, I pursued further studies abroad. I love being a storyteller, writer, and public speaker. With deep knowledge of Socotra's unique flora and fauna, I've guided not only tourists but also scientists for research projects. I can't wait to share the island's wonders with you through my stories and expertise!
Sami Mohammed
Hey there! I'm Sami Mohammed, a proud native of Socotra island. I'm a founding member of Socotra Ecotours, a sustainable ecotourism venture since 2014. Kais Al Qalisi
My name is Kais Al Qalisi and I am a Yemeni travel company owner, guide, fixer, and documentary filmmaker from Sana’a. I have been organizing trips in Yemen for the past twenty years throughout all regions of the country. I currently reside in Sana'a with my wife and three daughters, but I travel regularly to Hadhramaut and Mahrah in southern Yemen to organize tours to these regions, as the politics of today will still not allow for travel in northern Yemen. At home, I help organize charitable projects, especially geared at supporting women and families in Sana'a.
