Each trip has a set minimum and maximum number of participants in order to operate.

This number almost always falls between two and six people. You can find these details on each trip’s event page. 

Depending on the location, difficulty, vehicle, security conditions, and guide, this number will fluctuate slightly from trip to trip.

You must put down a set deposit of $600 in order to join a trip. This payment is kept in escrow until the trip meets its minimum required number of participants.

Your deposit is only refundable if the trip does not meet the minimum number of participants necessary to operate.

All trips must meet their minimum operational number of participants at least 60 days before a scheduled departure date. Should a trip not meet this number, then it is canceled and all deposits collected are returned.

Once a trip meets the minimum required number of participants, your deposit becomes non-refundable and non-transferable. This is because your participation affects the cost of your travel mates as well. 

Balances are due 60 days before a trip is scheduled to start and may be asked up to 90 days before a trip’s scheduled start date.

All confirmed participants are sent an email invoice where they may pay their balance directly by credit card.

You may cancel and receive a refund on your deposit, minus credit card processing fees, anytime before the minimum number of participants is reached.

Once the minimum number of participants is reached, your deposit will be moved out of escrow and sent to the guide/fixer in charge of your tour. At this point, your deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable.
